Where do Ouwél products come from?

Our Ouwél products come from the lush forests of Senegal and Guinea-Bissau. Each ingredient is carefully hand-harvested and then locally processed to ensure freshness and preserve purity. This on-site process allows us to maintain the authenticity of our products while honoring the ancestral skills of local communities.

Are your products certified organic?

At Ouwél, we go beyond organic labels by offering 100% natural products directly from nature. No industrial processes alter their purity, and each harvest is done with the utmost respect for the environment. This artisanal approach intentionally limits our stock to provide you with exceptional, authentic products in harmony with nature.

Is Touloucouna oil the same as Carapate Procera?

Yes, Touloucouna oil, known locally by this name in Senegal, is scientifically referred to as Carapate Procera. What sets our oil apart is its superior quality, achieved through artisanal craftsmanship passed down through generations. Made with care by experienced women and young girls from the villages, this traditional method ensures a pure oil rich in benefits and environmentally friendly.

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes, Ouwél ships to the United States as well as most European countries. And that’s just the beginning! We are actively working to expand our delivery service worldwide. We warmly thank you for your support, which enables us to reach even further.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times depend on your location. For the United States and Europe, it generally takes between 7 and 14 business days. We do our best to ship your orders quickly while ensuring that our products maintain their quality. You will receive a tracking number to monitor the progress of your order.

Do you have any traditional recipes?

Absolutely! At Ouwél, we share traditional remedies passed down through generations. For example, for stomachaches, we recommend a teaspoon of honey mixed with a teaspoon of Nep Nep, taken on an empty stomach in the morning. Find all our valuable recipes and grandmother’s tips on our social media, where we regularly share these natural treasures.

Do you use these recipes with your products yourself?

Oh yes, we do! From the largest to the smallest, at Ouwél, we love using our own products in simple and effective recipes inherited from our ancestors. Each remedy or natural care we share is first tested and adopted within our families. It is this passion for nature’s treasures that drives us and which we are dedicated to passing on.

Are your products tested on animals?

No, our Ouwél products are never tested on animals. We are deeply committed to nature-friendly and ethical practices, in line with our values of respect and harmony with the environment.
